What a blessing it is to share life with people who the Lord has placed among us from some of the more difficult parts of the globe! English as a second language classes have opened up to us a whole world of opportunities to help these new friends adjust to living in America. And it has been an exciting journey for us too!
Would you like to become part of a growing community of Christians who are meeting needs in the refugee community of Columbia, SC? Could you drive a friend to an appointment, help with tax preparation, volunteer in an English teaching ministry, drink tea or coffee in a Syrian home, go to a birthday party, or help someone get their learner’s permit or driver’s license?
There are so many ways to get involved. You can bring your own creativity to refugee ministry too! What new thing might the Lord want to do through you?
To get involved, please sign up below.
As part of signing up, we ask that you first read our page on cultural sensitivity, which is especially important for how we relate to our Middle Eastern friends, and then indicate in the form that you have read it. Thank you!
