Gospel Foundations 02.jpg

From cover to cover, the Bible is the story of God’s plan to redeem sinners through Jesus - the gospel. Gospel Foundations tells that story. This study shows God’s good purpose in creation, specifically by positioning humankind to bear His image and glorify Him through our rule over creation, our relationships with Him and one another, and our work and service for Him. Volume 1 of 6 has seven sessions:

  1. God Creates
  2. Man Sins
  3. God Makes a Covenant with Abraham
  4. God Tests Abraham
  5. God Works Through a Dysfunctional Family
  6. God Gives Jacob a New Name
  7. God Redeems Joseph’s Adversity

Grow together

Jesus describes our relationship to Him like this, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."  - John 15:5  ESV

Jesus also says that if we keep His commandments, we will abide in His love, just as He has kept His Father's commandments and abides in his love.  - John 15:10  ESV.  But He also tells us, "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."  - John 15:12-13  ESV.  Growing in Christ and in bearing fruit is very closely related to loving each other.
