2018 Christmas Bible Study Series.jpg

It has been rightly proclaimed, “Jesus is the reason for the season.” He is the GREAT LIGHT that shone on his entrance into our world. He is God’s greatest gift for our greatest need. However, surrounding the coming of Christ, there is a very special cast of characters who played a significant role. During the month of December, we will zoom in on the positive example set by some of these people as they let their life shine in good works.

  • Week 1 - Mary: The Mother of Jesus - Luke 1:26-38, 39-56
  • Week 2 - Joseph: The Adoptive Father- Matthew 1:18-25; 2:13-15
  • Week 3 - Simeon: The Old Man with an “On-Time” Message- Luke 2:25-35
  • Week 4 - The Wise Worshippers- Matthew 2:1-12
  • Week 5 - John the Baptist: “The Voice”- John 1:6-8; 3:22-36; Matthew 3:1-12

TAUGHT BY Pastor Richard Fleming

Grow together

Jesus describes our relationship to Him like this, "I am the vine; you are the branches. Whoever abides in me and I in him, he it is that bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing."  - John 15:5  ESV

Jesus also says that if we keep His commandments, we will abide in His love, just as He has kept His Father's commandments and abides in his love.  - John 15:10  ESV.  But He also tells us, "This is my commandment, that you love one another as I have loved you.  Greater love has no one than this, that someone lay down his life for his friends."  - John 15:12-13  ESV.  Growing in Christ and in bearing fruit is very closely related to loving each other.
