When: Afraid
The LORD is my light and my salvation—whom shall I fear?
The LORD is the stronghold of my life—of whom shall I be afraid?
Psalm 27:1 You will not
fear the terror of night, nor the arrow that flies by day, nor the pestilence
that stalks in the darkness, nor the plague that destroys at midday. A thousand
may fall at your side, ten thousand at your right hand, but it will not come
near you. Psalm 91:5-7 Anxious Do not be
anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and petition, with
thanksgiving, present your requests to God. And the peace of God, which
transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ
Jesus. Philippians 4:6 Discouraged
Cast your cares
on the LORD and he will sustain you; he will never let the righteous fall.
Psalm 55:22 Friends Fail The LORD himself
goes before you and will be with you; he will never leave you nor forsake you.
Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy
31:8 Facing Danger or
Disaster
He who dwells in
the shelter of the Most High will rest in the shadow of the Almighty.
Psalm 91:1 Weary
“Come to me,
all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon
you and learn from me, for I am gentle and humble in heart, and you will find
rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy and my burden is light.” Matthew 11:28-30 Sick or in Pain He took up our
infirmities and carried our diseases. Matthew
8:17b
Is any one of
you sick? He should call the elders of the church to pray over him and anoint
him with oil in the name of the Lord. And the prayer offered in faith will make
the sick person well; the Lord will raise him up. If he has sinned, he will be
forgiven. James 5:14-15 In
Need of Peace
Peace
I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives.
Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 Leaving
Home
The
LORD will keep you from all harm—he will watch over your life; the LORD will
watch over your coming and going both now and forevermore.
Psalm 121:7-8 Facing
a Crisis Let
us then approach the throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive
mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need.
Hebrews 4:16 Facing
Temptation (Desire
to do Wrong) No
temptation has seized you except what is common to man. And God is faithful; he
will not let you be tempted beyond what you can bear. But when you are tempted,
he will also provide a way out so that you can stand up under it.
1 Corinthians 10:13 In
Trouble But
he knows the way that I take; when he has tested me, I will come forth as gold.
Job 23:10
For
in the day of trouble he will keep me safe in his dwelling; he will hide me in
the shelter of his tabernacle and set me high upon a rock. Psalm 27:5 Feeling
Restless Be
still, and know that I am God; I will be exalted among the nations, I will be
exalted in the earth. Psalm 46:10
When
anxiety was great within me, your consolation brought joy to my soul.

he took up our infirmities and carried our sorrows.

Matthew 5:4 Praise
be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of compassion and
the God of all comfort, who comforts us in all our troubles, so that we can
comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves have received from
God. 2 Corinthians 1:3-4 Physically
Tired or Exhausted Even
youths grow tired and weary, and young men stumble and fall;
but those who hope in the LORD will renew their strength. They will soar
on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not
be faint. Isaiah 40:30-31 Feeling
Far from God Come
near to God and he will come near to you. Wash your hands, you sinners, and
purify your hearts, you double-minded. Grieve, mourn and wail. Change your
laughter to mourning and your joy to gloom. Humble yourselves before the Lord,
and he will lift you up. James 4:8-10 Conscious
of Sin and Guilt “Come
now, let us reason together,” says the LORD. “Though your sins are like
scarlet, they shall be as white as snow; though they are red as crimson, they
shall be like wool.” Isaiah 1:18 If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness. 1 John 1:9 All Bible quotations are taken
