What the Bible has to Say About: Jesus For to us a child is born, to us a son is
given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called
Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace.
Isaiah 9:6 For God so loved the world that he gave his
one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal
life. John 3:16 He is the image of the invisible God, the
firstborn over all creation. Colossians
1:15 Eternity
and Eternal Life So we fix our eyes not on what is seen, but on
what is unseen. For what is seen is temporary, but what is unseen is eternal.
2 Corinthians 4:18 But whoever drinks the water I give him will
never thirst. Indeed, the water I give him will become in him a spring of water
welling up to eternal life. John 4:14 Heaven And
I heard a loud voice from the throne saying, “Now the dwelling of God is with
men, and he will live with them. They will be his people, and God himself will
be with them and he their God. He will wipe every tear from their eyes. There
will be no more death or mourning or crying or pain, for the old order of things
has passed away.” Revelation 21:3-4 Separation
from God
Surely
the arm of the LORD is not too short to save, nor his ear too
dull to hear. But your iniquities have separated you from your God; your sins
have hidden his face from you, so that he will not hear. Isaiah 59:1-2 Hell And
if your eye causes you to sin, pluck it out. It is better for you to enter the
kingdom of God with one eye than to have two eyes and be thrown into hell, where
“their worm does not die, and the fire is not quenched.”
Mark 9:47-48 Satan/The
Devil Be
self-controlled and alert. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring
lion looking for someone to devour. Resist him, standing firm in the faith,
because you know that your brothers throughout the world are undergoing the same
kind of sufferings. 1 Peter 5:8-9a Peace
with God Therefore,
since we have been justified through faith, we have peace with God through our
Lord Jesus Christ.
Romans 5:1 God’s
Grace For
it is by grace you have been saved, through faith and this not from yourselves,
it is the gift of God not by works, so that no one can boast.
Ephesians 2:8-9 God’s
Faithfulness
Know
therefore that the LORD your is God; he is the faithful God, keeping his
covenant of love to a thousand generations of those who love him and keep his
commands. Deuteronomy 7:9 Love
This
is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an
atoning sacrifice for our sins. 1
John 4:10
It (love) is not rude, it is not self-seeking,
it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. Love does not delight in
evil but rejoices with the truth. It always protects, always trusts, always
hopes, always perseveres. Love never fails. 1
Corinthians 13:5-8a Obedience If
only you had paid attention to my commands, your peace would have been like a
river, your righteousness like the waves of the sea. Isaiah 48:18 But
Samuel replied: “Does the LORD delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices as
much as in obeying the voice of the LORD? To obey is better than sacrifice, and
to heed is better than the fat of rams.” 1
Samuel 15:22 All Bible quotations are taken
from the New International Version.
