God
Himself Is with Us,
1 (Tune: arnsberg
God Himself is with us: Let us
now adore Him,
And with awe appear before Him.
God is in His temple, all within
keep silence,
Prostrate lie with deepest
reverence.
Him alone God we own, Him our God
and Savior;
Praise His Name forever.
God Himself is with us: Hear the
harps resounding!
See the crowds the throne
surrounding!
“Holy, holy, holy,” hear the
hymn ascending,
Angels, saints, their voices
blending!
Bow Thine ear to us here: Hear, O
Christ, the praises
That Thy church now raises.
O Thou fount of blessing, purify
my spirit;
Trusting only in Thy merit,
Like the holy angels who behold Thy
glory,
May I ceaselessly adore Thee,
And in all, great and small, seek to
do most nearly
What Thou lovest dearly.
How
I Love Thy Law, O Lord!,
235 (Tune: spanish
hymn)
How I love Thy law, O Lord!
Daily joy its truths afford;
In its constant light I go,
Wise to conquer every foe.
Refrain:
Sweeter are Thy words to me
Than all other good can be;
Safe I walk, Thy truth my light,
Hating falsehood, loving right.
Thy commandments in my heart,
Truest wisdom can impart;
To my eyes Thy precepts show
Wisdom more than sages know.
While my heart Thy Word obeys,
I am kept from evil ways;
From Thy law, with Thee to guide,
I have never turned aside.
More
Love to Thee, O Christ, 397 (Tune: more
love to thee)
More love to Thee, O Christ, more love to Thee!
Hear Thou the prayer I make on bended knee.
This is my earnest plea: More love, O Christ, to Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
Once earthly joy I craved, sought peace and rest;
Now Thee alone I seek, give what is best.
This all my prayer shall be: More love, O Christ to
Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
Let sorrow do its work, come grief or pain;
Sweet are Thy messengers, sweet their refrain,
When they can sing with me: More love, O Christ, to
Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!
Then shall my latest breath whisper Thy praise;
This be the parting cry my heart shall raise;
This still its prayer shall be: More love, O Christ to
Thee;
More love to Thee, more love to Thee!

Sermon Title: “On
the Edge...of Paradise”
Mr. Chris Parnell
Sermon Text: Revelation
2:1-7
1"To the
angel of the church in Ephesus write:
These are the words of him who holds the
seven stars in his right hand and walks among the seven golden lampstands: 2I
know your deeds, your hard work and your perseverance. I know that you cannot
tolerate wicked men, that you have tested those who claim to be apostles but are
not, and have found them false. 3You
have persevered and have endured hardships for my name, and have not grown
weary. 4Yet I hold this
against you: You have forsaken your first love. 5Remember
the height from which you have fallen! Repent and do the things you did at
first. If you do not repent, I will come to you and remove your lampstand from
its place. 6But you have
this in your favor: You hate the practices of the Nicolaitans, which I also
hate. 7He who has an ear,
let him hear what the Spirit says to the churches. To him who overcomes, I will
give the right to eat from the tree of life, which is in the paradise of God. (New International Version)
