LEADERSHIP CHURCH STAFF Pastor: (Vacant) Interim Moderator of Session: Rev. David Lauten Vice-Moderator: Robert Taylor Treasurer: Joe A. Free, Jr. Interim Pianist/Choir Director: Evelyn Taylor Church Business Administrator: Carl Vick CHURCH OFFICERS SESSION: The Session is composed of actively serving Ruling Elders after having been ordained and installed to this office. Together with the ministers, they exercise government and discipline. Ruling Elders are chosen by voting members of their congregation and are their immediate representatives. They oversee the spiritual interests both of the particular congregation and of the Church generally when appointed to represent the congregation in the higher courts. In all the courts of the church ruling elders possess the same authority and the same eligibility to office as ministers. The church's pastor normally serves as Moderator of Session. Current Session ministries include the following committees: Worship, Christian Education, and Personnel. Clerk of Session: Michael Evans
DIACONATE: The Diaconate is composed of actively serving Deacons after having been chosen by their congregation, ordained, and installed to this office. The office of Deacon as set forth in Scripture is one of sympathy and service after the example of Christ. The Diaconate shall be responsible for the congregation's ministry to those in material need or distress. It shall also encourage practice of total stewardship among the members. In the discharge of its duties, the Diaconate is under the supervision and authority of the Session. Current Diaconate ministries include the following committees: Service and Outreach, Finance and Stewardship, and Property. Chairman of Deacons: Carol Evans
