Monday

 

11:00 a.m.      First Monday Prayer Group Meets in the Church Library on the First Monday of Each Month Except Summer; Women Meet for Prayer in the Library, then Go for a Dutch Luncheon Before Visiting a Shut-in

 

11:00 a.m.      Circle #1 Meets in the Church Library on the Second Monday of Each Month Except Summer

 

6:00 p.m.      Circle #4 Meets in Fellowship Hall on the Fourth Monday of Each Month Except Summer

 

Wednesday

 

12:00 noon    Market Street Bible Study in Fellowship Hall. This is a Group of People Who Meet at Arsenal Hill for Bible Study During the Spring and Fall, Under Their Own Leadership. The Bible Study is Open to the Public.

 

6:00 p.m.      Covered Dish Meal and Bible Study in Fellowship Hall. Meets Weekly, Except During the Summer

 

7:00 p.m.      Children's Choir in the Choir Room. Meets Weekly, Except During the Summer

 

7:30 p.m.      Choir Practice in the Choir Room. Choir Practice time may change to 6:00 p.m. During the Summer

 

Special Events

 

The following are typical events that occur during the year. Exact functions and times may vary. Please see "What's Happening" for details.

 

Fifth Sundays

 

12:30 p.m.    When a Fifth Sunday Occurs During the Month, we Typically have a Luncheon Following the Worship Service. Guests are Invited.

 

Easter

 

Maundy Thursday Service

6:00 p.m.      A Special Communion Service is Normally Held in the Chapel on the Thursday before Easter

 

Easter Sunday

9:00 a.m.     "Flowers on the Cross" Event in Front of the Church to Decorate a Cross with Flowers to Represent the New Life that We Have in Christ.

 

Christmas

 

During the Christmas Season, Several Events take Place, Including the Observance of the Advent Season and Church Musical Presentations.

 

Advent Season

During the Four Sunday Worship Services Preceding Christmas, Following an Advent Reading, an Advent Candle is Lit. The First of Five Candles is lit on the First of these Four Sundays. An Additional Advent Candle is Lit on Each of the Remaining Four Sundays.

 

Christmas Eve Service

6:00 p.m.     A Special Service is Held in the Church Sanctuary on Christmas Eve to Celebrate the Coming of Christ. During this Service the Fifth Advent Candle, the "Christ Candle," is lit.

 

New Year's Eve

 

6:00 p.m.     A Communion Service is Held in the Church Chapel on New Year's Eve.

 

Communion

 

In Addition to Special Services, Communion is Normally Held on Sundays, Once Every Six Weeks.
